Finn Higgins

Director

Finn is the founder and driving force behind Set Creative. Trained as a drummer, he holds a Dip.F.E in Popular Music Performance from DrumTech in London. Achieving one of two Distinction grades issued to his year, Finn studied with teachers including Paul Elliot, Brian Greene, Justin Scott, Mark Roberts (DJ Rap, Massive Attack), Steve Lawson and Bosco De Oliviera.

Residing in Auckland since 2001, Finn spent the 2002 school year teaching the drums at Howick College before taking a break from music-related employment during 2003-2004 to pursue other avenues, including IT and media work. During this time he has kept busy with both teaching and live performance, playing around and about in Auckland with a variety of groups and shows and working in styles including metal, jazz, rock, pop, avant-garde, latin and disco.

Equally conversant with music and technology, Finn has experience with a variety of programming languages and web technologies, including C, C++, PHP, SQL, CSS, HTML, Delphi and LISP. He also writes on a regular basis for Kiwi Property Investor Magazine on a variety of real estate and technology related subjects.
